WCIs, do you min-max your credit card rewards
Not sure if at what income levels do people stop caring about travel rewards from credit cards and just pay for their trips.
Is there a point for min-maxing credit card rewards if we have cash to pay for our trips? No need to find the perfect flight or perfect hotel, and just pay for it.
Should high earners just opt out of the game?
I currently have Schwab Platinum and Amex Gold. My points are just sitting there not getting interest. Should I just cash them and get interest? And just pay for my flights and accommodation whenever I want to and not worrying for the perfect redemption? It’d be like cashback card at this point.
Just wanted your thoughts about this.
Another point I often hear is: since we get to save cash in our accounts anyways, we should accumulate rewards points instead and not worry about cash backs.
