Recommendations for near by outdoor stores

I am looking for small or locally owned outdoors stores for camping and backpacking gear. The only store I know around here is Sam's outdoor outfitters in Hadley. I am willing to drive up to 1.5 hours away from the general western mass area or to other near by states.
