Best place to hire U.S. based web devs?

I've tried options like Indeed but just get flooded with candidates who are poor fits. I've heard Craigslist can be a good resource, but never had much luck with it.

It seems like there are a lot of devs out there looking for work, and I'm just not sure what the best way is to connect with them.

I have a small Shopify agency, and we need someone to lead our dev efforts, mostly involving working with Liquid, TailwindCSS, various JS frameworks (Vue, AlpineJS, etc), building out custom Shopify apps, working with APIs, etc.

I really want someone U.S. based who speaks English natively. Is there a site or service out there that can help me find that person?
