SOTC. Please rate and review humble and budget watch collection. I consider my watch collection to be a budget collection as none of my watches are above 20k. Total purchase value of my collection is around 87k for 17 watches. I own 19 watches in total- 2 of them are inherited from my late granddad.
The HMT Jubilee and the HMT Gautam are inherited from my late granddad and they will be always priceless to me. The watches were in non-working condition, I had to service them. All the HMT watches are original, nothing modded or aftermarket or repainted. Some parts like the crown, crystal and minor mechanical parts have been replaced while servicing. Rest are all original. HMT Saathi was purchased from HMT Bangalore showroom through a friend. HMT Sona and drunken Kohinoor are purchased as NOS watches from reputed sellers. Since drunken Kohinoor in original state is extremely rare to find and there are mostly aftermarket drunken Kohinoors available in the market some might feel that mine is too aftermarket but it's not. I have also verified the watch after my purchase.
Anyway moving on, the Fastrack watch was gifted by my dad after I passed my 10th standard and it will be special to me always though personally now I don't like Fastrack as a watch brand but I would never sell or trade this particular watch as this hold a great sentimental value. I have sold and bought many watches from my collection before and thus finally came to this collection. I purchased 9 watches in 2024 and I am thinking to slow down now. Next I am eyeing a proper tank watch with Roman numerals like the Cartier tank watch from a proper watchmaking brand, not looking at the Titan one that is available as that is too big and that one is a square watch like the Cartier Santos, not a proper tank watch. This is hard to find in budget especially in India. 2 years down the line, I may purchase a nice Swiss automatic watch. Apart from these two, I don't have any plans to buy any more watch.
Feel free to comment on my collection.
