Is medical Insurance grace period mandatory by UAE LAW after last day
Hi,
I resigned from my company and served my last day recently. Prior to my last day I checked with HR and was informed that I would receive medical insurance benefits for 1 month from my last day.
The day after my last day, benefits were stopped.
HR informed that this was a mistake and are trying to rectify the situation. It's been several days, and HR promise they are on top of it. I don't doubt this.
However just to be prepared for anything unforeseen, I wanted to know if:
- A company is legally obliged to provide medical cover for a grace period after the last day of work.
- If not legally bound, Is a company legally bound to fulfil the promise of medical cover, of which I have documented evidence.
