Christmas is hard

I thought we had a good relationship, we've had ups and downs for sure but the last few years have been great, she's going to be bridesmaid at my wedding to her father.

And now for the kicker

My stepdaughter (10) made Christmas cards for everyone including our elderly neighbours except for me.

I'm trying to be the bigger person but fuck this is hard.

UPDATE: Christmas is done and I still didn't get a card but my FH has had a talk about including me with SD. So atleast he tried. And I did tell him the damage was already done so not to bother getting her to make one out of obligation

Both stepkids did thank me for their Christmas presents though. (Mr 14 didn't even need prompting and he's going thru the teenage boy grunt stage 😂)

Someone commented on bridesmaid gifts and yeah I was planning it but now not so much also all the little things I see and grab just because I know she'll like them that's going to stop too. Maybe she'll notice, maybe she won't 🤷
