Northeast trip

I’m planing on going snowboarding for the first time with some friends in the Northeast this coming winter. We’re open to a few different states, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and New York. We’re looking for something low key, nothing crazy expensive. What towns would be the best to look at?

Edit: we are looking for cheaper day passes/rentals since we probably intend for snowboarding to be just a portion of the trip.

Any ideal, inexpensive AirB&B or hotels with nice amenities that make a certain ski mountain more attractive to visit, is also up for consideration.
