Logitech x MOMO wheel review

It seems like no one else has posted a review yet, so I figure I would do a quick one so people have a place to look as they debate getting one. Please ask me any questions about it!

I specifically had been eyeing this because my setup is for the PS5 and I wanted a larger diameter wheel to better simulate wheels on street cars. The Logitech round wheel was small and didn’t have the thumb grips I was used to on my daily driver.

Bought this on launch day. I called and spoke with MOMO because I didn’t get a confirmation email for a few hours (it was in my junk box). The guy was surprised they were selling sim wheels. He said there hadn’t been many orders for them yet.

Pros - 32cm circumference. This was closer to feeling like my daily driver than a previous Logitech 29cm was. On a previous Reddit survey, the 32cm size seemed to be majority preferred. - Premium microfiber feel. This is in comparison to BMW and Hyundai N microfiber products. - Quality finishing with the brushed metal and the lacquer?-filled G and MOMO logos. - Thumb grips and notches at the lower part of the hand placement.

Cons - Price. It is steep at $229. It was announced to release at $199. And on their European sites, they have that promotional price for early release buyers. Military discount helps with 10% off. - No center line. Doesn’t matter much to me using the PSVR2. The grips and notches help me figure out orientation. - Microfiber isn’t stitched. It is only glued and you can easily see the points where it comes together. Although they did it well where they’re at the same level and there’s minimal feeling of transition. The lack of stitching could be a positive for those who get skin irritation from friction against stitches.

Would I buy this again? Yes, maybe, probably... I wanted a round wheel, and the current competing RS one is smaller than I prefer. Although that wheel is $160 cheaper.

I hope the price goes down in the future. I’m hopeful it will if they don’t sell and the competition increases. There should be more and more competing wheels hitting the market to put on the RS hub soon. I believe there are currently 3-4 aftermarket wheels.
