Need some handholding to get Donkey Kong Country Returns controls working on RP5

I only have a few Wii games on my RP5: Mario kart, Mario kart black. But I wanted to play DKCR, however I can't get past the opening splash screen where it says to press both A&B buttons.

What tricks do I need to do to get it working? Thanks in advance...
