What's a good plant for me?

So, I'm looking to buy a plant for my room. I don't mind size (besides anything very large like a fig tree). It can be very small or medium size or even a hanging plant. All I care about is that it should be able to live in a dark room. My room is very dark as I don't enjoy bright lights. The most that I have is an open window and a desk lamp that I can change the brightness and color with.

Currently I have a few weeping fig trees, a large fig tree in the kitchen, a few peace lillies, about 15 african violets that my grandmother bloomed when she was alive, and I think a citrus tree?? Not too sure, it hasn't bloomed anything past leaves. I'd mistake it as another weeping fig tree if I already didn't have two to compare it with.

I'd prefer something with color to brighten up my room, but anything is fine really. I don't mind if I need to water it everyday or clean it out often. Just as long as it can bloom in the shadows/darkness :) Appreciate your help

EDIT: Forgot to add, I am a smoker that regularly smokes in my room. If it's best for me to either not do that whilst having a plant nearby, or just not have a plant at all in my room, tell me otherwise. All critiques/recommendations are accepted
