Elizabeth "Killed" Jack (Left Him To Die) Because She Was Afraid Of Loving Him
Many are going to disagree, but honestly, I think that Elizabeth truly loved Jack, more than she loved Will, but was afraid of hurting him and dealing with the fact that she grew into loving Jack more than Will, even after almost marrying him, (Evidenced by Norringhton and proven by the compass). She choose to do the "right thing" by offering Jack to the Kraken so the rest of the crew wouldn’t have to die with him, but not because she thought that it was right, but because it was the easy way out from not having to deal with her fellings for Jack. I also think that Jack loved her. Even in the fifth movie, in which Elizabeth basically wasn't present, after seeing them (Will and Swann) he said something like "What a terrible sight", his way of expressing what he really felt by stating something that seems like a joke but really isn't, he didn't like seeing Will with her, he wanted to be the one to be with her, and, as I said earlier in this post, as much as many will disagree, I think that, deep down, she also wanted to be with him, loved him.
