Gaming Set-up VS Home Office Set up

Wondering what peripherals you guys use for both set ups (if you work from home). I am tired of the razer/logitech combo's out there and recently got a new work from home job. Wanting to change my set up a bit.

Was thinking of getting a KVM to use the same mouse and keyboard and 2nd monitor and have everything on one desk, but I can't find a decently priced KVM that would allow for 4k 240 hz monitor.

Are different keyboards better for gaming/typing? I new to all this, looking for some input!
