First time twisties...wow!
I took my first ride through moderate twisty roads (Mulholland Drive in Los Angeles) and I felt like a kid again! I just started riding this summer; I daily commute on the freeway so I am used to high speed winds, but the feeling of the breeze at 30 mph while twisting and turning was just sooo nice. I caught myself laughing after a nice sequence of consecutive s-turns and man it just felt like I was in touch with nature/the road in a new and pure way. No wonder we love twisties so much! I think the most surprising/frightening part for me was when I was leaning left and my boot scraped the ground. I didn't realize I had to change the placement of my feet and keep my toes up on the foot pegs for ground clearance. What do you remember about your first time on the twisties?
