Possibly cost (sorry lengthy read)

Hi, I am looking at getting into the hobby and already have a starter Hornby oval and a extra loco I showed my dream list (so far) to a cousin of mine. The question they asked had me thinking, how much do you think it will all cost?

I know it's all going to be alot, I was wondering if the fine people of this sub would be kind enough to give me a rough idea of how much you have invested into your layout?

Also photos would always be appreciated
