carrying of blade laws

according to https://law.justia.com/codes/maryland/2010/criminal-law/title-4/subtitle-1/4-101

it says "(1) A person may not wear or carry a dangerous weapon of any kind concealed on or about the person."
so does this mean if i wish to carry i can carry them openly? if they are in the sheathe does that count as concealed? because it says "a penknife without a switchblade" is not a "weapon", i'm allowed to conceal or openly carry a folding knife?

because im curious, is it legal to carry a sword? It's not something i wish to do, but I think i should know the laws since i happen to have one.
