m4 mac mini really that good?

Currently using a late 2019 Intel MacBook Pro with an i9 (16 threads) for music production in Logic Pro, but I’m considering adding a new Mac Mini M4 to handle music production tasks. The Mac Mini has 10 cores (4 performance, 6 efficiency), but from what I understand, Logic Pro doesn’t make use of the efficiency cores, so I’d only be working with 4 performance cores (8 threads).

Given that, would switching to the Mac Mini M4 really be an upgrade in terms of performance, or would it just end up as another machine in the studio? Anyone have experience with the M4 in Logic and can weigh in?
