My First Bad Stop

I just had my first bad stop and I am absolutely fucking sick about it. Over 1500 apprehensions (events) and not a single one. Definitely some close calls but never had one.

Lady comes in store and goes straight to fragrance. Approaches, selects and conceals two bottles of Tom Ford cologne. She keeps them in her purse and walks towards the door. I get up and walk out of the office and walk towards the front (office is in back of house). As I am walking at her 8 o’clock I’m watching.

I don’t know how, but I guess she made me somehow. As she walks towards the door, she pulls the two fragrances out and dumps them in the makeup end stand where I was blind.

I identify, notice they are gone from her purse, apologize, go back in and start to panic.

I watched in horror as I saw her look in the mirror, see me and then ditch the product. As I’m reading the threads, it seems like I shouldn’t have reported myself, but I chose to. I got the impression she could try to complain and get something out of us. This was either her plan from the start or she was going to steal it and got scared.

Either way, I’m fucked it seems and I’m pretty damn low about it. Any advice?

UPDATE: Wish me luck! I will find out the verdict today (10/07/23)!
