The trade has exposed one thing: national media Knowers of Ball have just not watched the Lakers in at least three years except to clown

I can’t sleep so have been listening to a bunch of reaction pods from the national brands and while it’s been obvious for awhile, national media just genuinely seems not to have watched this team except to meme for years. Now they have to have actual basketball takes about the Lakers and have been caught with their pants down.

Nobody seems to know anything about our roster except that it has LeBron and Austin, and everyone is convinced they can’t play off-ball and won’t possibly work with Luka. Guys, I’ve been watching LeBron set screens for Austin all year, and Austin is a SG playing out of position (and doing a great job) because he had to. That’s not their entire bag and I am pretty confident that two of the highest IQ guys in basketball and a pretty damn smart guy in AR will figure it out. Nobody understands how good or durable AD has been for the last year and a half, what Max can add to the Mavs (and what we lost when he got traded). You’d think DFS and Vando died.
