I’m moving to Jacksonville in less than a month.

As the title states, I’ll be moving to Jacksonville in 27 days. Yeah I get it.. Boo, another Californian coming to our state. I get it. I don’t blame you. The reason why we’re moving across the country is so my girlfriend can be close to her sister and her new kiddo. Her sister has lived there for quite some time.

We went to visit over a year ago, and she took us around. Hawkers, maple street, Neptune beach, valley smoke.. I love golf and I’m stoked to be close to Sawgrass and all the golf Florida has to offer. We went to this hipster area that had some cool bars and went to a few breweries around the area. Jacksonville seems to be pretty fun and have a lot to offer. And there’s not many places where you can live affordably this close to the beach/ocean. I couldn’t believe that I’m paying MUCH more to live in Central California than it would cost to live in a nicer house in Jacksonville near the ocean.

My question is, where are the fun spots and where are the food spots I should try? Im not gonna lie, I’m really gonna miss the Mexican food here but I’m excited to try the different cuisines. I’ve tried to do my research but there’s only so much you can do without asking current locals about the best spots. I really appreciate the input.

Also, I’m a bartender with 10 years experience looking for a job. Anyone in the industry happen to know of any places hiring in the next few weeks? Thanks
