Get Out - questions
I used to always go to imdb to comment on movies, it really sucks the message boards are gone. I loved Get Out but I don't find the story as smooth as everyone says it is (I read the official movie discussion you had here.)
My questions:
Why is the family acting so obviously creepy? They want to make the victim feel comfortable enough, don't they? Rose and the blind guy were the only ones remotely deceptive.
Why do grandma and grandpa have to pose as servants? Wouldn't Chris feel even more comfortable if they were family friends or out of the picture?
Why do all black people act extremely weird when they are really just Rose's family members, back to the first point, how does it help to act creepy as fuck?
Why was Georgina crying when she walked in on Chris and told him about the phone? It seemed like the real person trying to get out but she wasn't triggered by anything?
Why does Chris pick Georgina up in the car? I know he has a trauma with his mom, but he also received a complete explanation of what she was.
Why was there any need to explain to Chris what is going to happen to him via video?
When Chris used flash the first time to accidentally trigger Andre guy, Andre was lost and erratic. When he uses it to trigger the gardener at the end, he is instantly aware and able to "fake" to get Rose's gun. A little bit of a stretch.
If anyone has other things about this movie that weren't clear, please bring them up, i'd like to properly discuss the plot and not just talk about how great it was. It was great.
