Facebook active status help

Active status help, Can you turn your active status off on messenger but make it show the people on your chat log show that it did not turn off

E.g if it showed I was last active an hour ago could I go into settings turn off my active status but where as when you do that it doesn’t show when you are last active it just shows nothing but is there a way to turn it off but make it say last active one hour ago even though you actually are on the app Let me know
