Salwan’s death made me fully back out of Islam

Honestly, I was very on the fence on whether to convert to the religion or not. I find satisfaction in praying and doing Islamic traditions (although the Quran gave me many red flags, I would rather practice it as a way of life). But then I just heard about the death of Salwan, and then I was like “yeaaaa I don’t think I’ll be enjoying this religion anymore”.

I didn’t really care what he was doing. Yes, burning Qurans in the public for the sake of pissing Muslims off is pretty immoral, but the fact that they went as far as to murder him is so barbaric. I even see Muslims celebrating his death, it’s fucking crazy. If your religion is this sensitive to the point where if you make the stupidest Allah joke, people will instantly call for your heads, is hysterical. Even if you speak the truth of Mohammad according to the Hadiths, that’s apparently “blasphemy” that is punishable by death.

So yea, Salwan’s death just woke me up to how barbaric and sensitive Islam is. Ok you could separate the followers from the religion, but where do you think the behavior of the followers comes from? The religion! Muslims literally proved him right that Islam encourages hatred and violence towards other groups. There’s literally NO verse in the Quran that says “love others”, except the TOTAL OPPOSITE. And that’s a religion I would NEVER want to associate myself with.

RIP Salwan, and thank you for waking me up to the truth and saving the rest of my life from this cult 🙏
