Efficient way to cut long content

Hopefully this isn't too dumb a question, but I livestream and then cut down the recording to post on YouTube. Is there a more efficient less time consuming way to cut down hours of content?

What I currently do is make a cut with the tool, then cut again at the end of what I need to get rid of. Then I will manually move the rest of the media to the left.

I know this is inefficient but any tips would be absolutely lovely, thank you in advance 😁😁
