wich defensive stat are best to focus on to survive in high density wave ?

D5, after wave 10, it gets really tricky to both avoid the elites' spells, the small red orbs that take a huge chunk of HP, and the enemy groups. It feels like I have to make some kind of trade-off: prioritizing dodging the attacks that deal massive damage at the cost of taking the smaller hits. So I end up having to move through weaker enemy zones, and to minimize their damage, should I focus on dodge, armor or both ?
