I think the reason we didn't get the RENAISSANCE film and live album online is she had to move on 😔

RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR wrapped up in October/2023 and the film came out two months later, in December 1st, to coincide with the World AIDS Day. as amazing as the film was, we know it was a bit rushed to meet that deadline.

editing can take a loooong time - especially when you consider the level Beyoncé edits her films (for comparison sake, there was A FULL YEAR between the Beychella 2018 performance and its HOMECOMING 2019 release)

I think that after delivering the final cut of the RENAISSANCE film, Beyoncé had to simply move on and focus on wrapping the work on COWBOY CARTER (that would be released in just a couple of months, in March/2024)

I believe what we saw and heard at the cinema was a very decent cut of the film but maybe not up to the level of what Beyoncé wants to add to her filmography (remember, this is following up on the immaculate HOMECOMING film)

my hope is that after the trilogy wraps up, Bey has time to revisit the RENAISSANCE film and is able to release her Director's Cut of the film and live album on streaming.
