First time bench press 100 lbs!
I haven’t lifted since I was 18/19, and even then it was a once in a great while type thing. I started working out mid December. And since I’m 48 now, I started with some pretty light weights because I didn’t wanna tear or rip anything. I want to improve my physique and lose weight, for long term health, and it feels better to be in shape and look good. Well, tonight after about a month and a half I finally was able to bench press 100 lbs! It felt great to see how far I’ve come, from starting out with 56 lbs. I used to hate the idea of lifting weights, but now I kind of crave it. It feels so good. I know it’s not a huge milestone and not a big deal but to me it was and I just wanted to share. My ultimate goal is to be able to bench press 150 so I’m well on my way there. I hope I don’t lose the drive I’ve got and maybe by June or July I’ll hit my target weight.
