How to cope with all my treatment plans being due very close to each other
So I have 5 clients And right now everybody’s treatment plan is due around the same time. Basically from now until April every 2 weeks I will have a treatment plan due. I have also added another new client whose treatment plan will also be due in this same time frame for the next authorization period. I am drowning here and I am not able to provide my best supervision for my clients. I have asked for support and was told maybe I can trade 1 client with another BCBA a couple months from now. But that doesn’t help too much. I am dreading 6 months from now when I have to do it all again with an additional treatment plan. All of my clients are level 2/3 of VBMAPP or ABELS plus have several that I am starting to think about school transition plans so assessments and treatment plans take awhile. Also my clients tend to struggle with new skills for a long chunk of time and then all the sudden get the whole skill and meet mastery criteria In a very short period of time. like in 4 months maybe we master 3 targets but then we get a lightbulb moment and master the entire long term objective in the next 2 weeks. Which also complicates assessments and treatment planning. I am thrilled that they are learning and making progress, don’t get me wrong. But it’s not like I can do an assessment 2 months prior to the auth ending and have it still be accurate. How do I keep my sanity?
edit: also during this time I wanting to start major interventions for multiple clients like toilet training or tolerating denied access. Especially because I plan to use different teaching methods than my RBTS are used to. I need to be available to support the RBTs but I don’t want to wait until April. At the same time I don’t know how I can supervise all my RBTa during these interventions and get my assessments and treatment plans done.
