Ants in my plants

I had this plants for around two years on my balcony, and after the whole balcony was somehow crowded by ants, I decided to remove all of them and plant them in the garden. I cracked one pot and saw the birth chamber I guess. Quite interesting and impressive how they removed every egg within a minute. to not disturb them too much, even though I think that they were the reason this plant was almost dying, but I put everything in the soil.
