With the help of my doctor and nutritionist, I have lost 30 pounds in 30 days!

Hi everyone. I'm fairly new here, and wanted to share my progress so far. 38m

Im a food addict, and i weighed 489 pounds in january of 2023. I started cutting out processed foods, and started baking my own bread, and i was able to lose about 83 pounds by june of this year. It was so nice seeing my weight on my home scale instead of an error code because i maxed it out.

On july 1st, i weighed 406 pounds. I started walking for 30 minutes in the morning, and 30 minutes in the evening. I cut my calories from around 4000 to 5000 calories per day, all the way down to 1200-1300 per day. I eat tons of veggies and lean protein. I feel much better and ive never slept more peacefully. Cauliflower has become my new "carb". i love it!

I went from a 6xl shirt, down to a 4xl being pretty baggy on me, but a 3xl is still too short on me. Im 6 foot 3 inches tall, so that might give you an idea. I also went from a size 58 last may, to a size 46 today in pants

This morning i weighed 376 pounds. Im incredibly proud of myself.

I was catching myself a couple months ago, watching episodes of my 600 pound life, while i was eating pizza or cookies, and when they started complaining about not being able to lose weight because theyve "been sticking to the exercise and meal plan", so they dont know why it isnt working, i would start talking smack to the tv about why they were failing, and i realized i needed to do better. Who am i to say anything to them if i have never tried walking in their shoes. If im going to talk the talk, i should walk the walk. So, i worked with my doctor and nutritionist to come up with a safe meal plan and it has worked so well. I really never have cravings, and when i do, i allow myself 1 cheat meal every sunday. Ive had deep fried sushi, machaca, and an ice cream cone, and still stayed on track and lost weight.

I now read every single label in the store. My diet has no added salt, sugar or fats, and incredibly limited carbs.

Ive still got quite a bit to go, my first goal is to hit 300 by thanksgiving this year. Once i hit 300, im going to start weight training.

Thanks for listening. If you have any good 400-500 calorie meal ideas, please let me know.
