Feeling defeated with my one month results, what do I do?

30f, started the month at 197 and got down to 192. Weighed in at 194 today. Feeling defeated as it’s almost been a month (started 1/1) and I don’t have a lot to show. I am in a big deficit and choosing healthier options. I do track. However I did go out to eat the other night for a special occasion and the weight HOLDS ON after that for me and fluctuates right up. It will take probably 10 days for that to return to 192. Thoughts, is this normal? I read 4-8 pounds a month, I’m sure I’ll teeter back down to 193 at least before the month ends, but WOW does it suck to only see a 4 pound difference after a month. Is this normal?
