Why like why
I am from VIT Vellore honestly dont understand why there is so much of outrage because Shreya Goshal spoke Hindi and sang majority of Hindi songs. What's wrong in that? Honestly I don't find anything wrong with that. Riviera is for everyone. I have found certain North Indians who were frowning when Jonita sang Tamil songs like comeon guys music and songs don't have any language as long as it is good. I as a Tamilian absolutely enjoyed Shreya Goshal and DJ Paruma and everyone else. In Day 2 as well singer before Jonita she sang mostly in Tamil and I don't understand how come Riviera is only for Hindi speakers lmao. VIT is melting pot of diversity with people across various cultural denominations come here enjoy learn about everyone and have a vibe. I used to be a Tamil supremacist in Schools but after I came here when I joined clubs and all my Tamil friends and my Club board and Seniors who were Tamils distanced from me and never treated me properly and they never helped me anywhere like literally and were faking their Hindi. But then however when the new board came whom were all Hindi they helped me more and thought me about the Club culture and I politely requested them to use English in official meetings and they did Honestly and they never made me feel out of place just because I don't speak Hindi. Had my seniors and club board thought arrey he is a Madrasi and Tamilian why should I help him I should not I should help a Hindi speaking guy not this Madrasi would I have enjoyed my club days no absolutely not. And there are so many instances where my Tamil speaking friends bullied me all the time and never accepted me but my NoN Tamil friends accepted me for who I am and my best friends here in VIT are non Tamils and I can say that proudly. From someone who hated Bollywood so much these instances made me listen to 50 plus Hindi songs and 7 to 8 Hindi Movies these years and killed the Tamil supremacist in me. So just for godsake this is what VIT is all about. Everyone for everyone let's enjoy the pro show and have lot of fun and vibe for all languages coz this is what makes VIT the greatest in the state unlike other colleges which is highly homogeneous in nature.
