Excess credit

I’m thinking about doing a random class for the sake of having credits to maintain my scholarship but I want to be conscious about how the excess credit surcharge works.

For context I’ve done credits while in high school that add up to around 20 but only 8 are related to my current degree so this is my main worry. I did physics 1 & 2 which was algebra based while my degree requires calculus.

My degree adds up to 117 and ik the limit is 144 before charges apply and there’s up to a 12 credit refund if I graduate in the 4 years which I project I may be able to a semester early.

What I would like to know is if these high school credits do affect my credit count.
