Systems engineering job prospects

I was wondering how the job opportunities for systems engineers are. Is the job demand increasing and is there demand compared to more technical majors like ME and EE. Also, do employers prefer the more technical specializations rather than a breadth of knowledge in multiple engineering disciplines.
