Passed 2nd attempt with a little curve ball
Received a 71% on my first attempt at the end of November. I used Kaplan’s review class.
I signed up for the exam again for January 2025. The first exam location was less than 20 miles from my house. When I signed up for the second exam, the closest location was 150 miles out of state.
On exam day, I drove 2 1/2 hours to the exam site. On the way there, I hit something on the road and heard a loud noise. When I got to the exam site, my right front tire was basically flat. This was all before the exam even started! Pass or fail, I knew that there was no way I could drive back, so I would have to get the tire changed after the exam.
Incredibly, I remained focused and I was not rattled at all. I took the exam and passed! After the exam, I was able to drive to a tire store and wait for almost three hours. I didn’t care because I passed. It was a great feeling.
The difference this time around was I took the Kaplan three day top off class which helped me a lot. This class helped me with some short cuts on how to pass the exam.
My exam didn’t have as many options as the first time, but there was a lot on suitability and RR responsibilities.
To summarize, this second attempt was not how I envisioned it to go, but it all worked out in the end!
