How to make my cousin like me? (SPOILERS)

I have never stolen her Mac n Cheese or terrible choice in ice cream.

I'm currently struggling with the decision at the end of chapter 3. It seems like no matter what I do, I can't seem to get Tabitha to like me enough to offer to take the fall at the end of the trial. I haven't tried it yet but I was thinking the only way I might be able to do is if I don't romance anyone. I was hoping to be able to romance someone and still get within my cousin's good graces. Any advice?
