When I transferred from a different cc to r/grcc because I had no idea how to get in with a GED my first class was English 101/102. During that class my professor cherry picked a single honorary native that was white that researchers at university of Michigan believe was partially lying. It’s regarding the smallpox blankets and willfully doing it.

According to a single paper from U-M it was a mistake on behalf of the soldiers, and from a white man who was commonly treated as a native. Therefore that undermines everything. I now get why feminists ignore the Great Law of Peace too, or Europeans put more emphasis on the Magna Carta even though it’s younger than the GLoP. The myths/songs of Hiawatha was written by a white guy so the Iroquois nation is obviously a fairy tale. The fact women had say in representation before the European feminist movement is also a fairy tale.

Anyway, did anyone say anything? Just me, the only fucking native in the room and a Spanish nursing student. Did the feminists care? The black people? White people who chase acceptance from blacks like a dog after a treat? Nah. The professor even tried to claim that at one point brown people were more accepted. I suppose the army’s mantra, “Kill the Indian, Save the Man” no longer exists. Oh wait, white people have acknowledged that too so obviously not.

And at r/gvsu the internship coordinator for the CIS dept summarized all this as Europeans being the superior race. Did anyone care? Nah. I’ll tell you what they did do though. In order to save face they called the cops and tried to make me stay in a mental hospital. They called so many wellness checks that cops have my house on record. We’re on a first name basis. They utilize specific training to acknowledge me as little as possible to avoid suicide by cop. When they show up.

And does r/grandrapids care? Nah. It’s full of racists. They’ll downvote you into oblivion if you say anything about it or just delete your post altogether. It’s not bitching about pot holes, Taco Bell, or pretending it’s an inclusive city.

And Reddit? Activities? lol nah.

No one gives a fuck. On the plus side of no one giving a fuck, I once cut my wrists in front of a large audience here in Grand Rapids. I didn’t mean for the audience to be there, but the cutting was intentional. It was right outside a vet on a major road. Thankfully, no one cared enough about a visible tan minority to call the cops. They were more worried about their fur babies or something. Maybe they saw me giving them what they so desperately want, and for once were willing to accept it.

So yeah, I have a hard time getting why people pretend DEI matters. I won’t repeat my interviews while I was trying to get internships. It is funny though that a lot of recruiters want me to teach because my grades are high. They especially want me to teach in low income areas. My profile isn’t geared toward it at all and I haven’t taken a single class on education. No experience beyond manufacturing either, except for a minuscule amount in casino bars and stuff because I’m native and that casino 60 miles away is my best shot at ever having a life. Now I work in security, but I don’t really do anything.

You can talk in circles all you want though. It won’t solve anything and when you get what you’ve been so desperately after there’s no reason to pretend you’re sad either.
