People who claim they aren't "tech savvy" when they just need to read

I work in cell phone sales and constantly have people that walk in and say something like "My phone told me that i had to be on Wi-Fi to download this app. What does that mean?" And I'll tell them it means they need to be on Wi-Fi to download the app. And they respond, "Oh, ok. I'm not tech savvy". Like, your tech prowess doesn't make a difference on just reading what the device tells you.
