Studying for the ASVAB
Studying for the ASVAB
So I’m in the middle of studying for my ASVAB that I’m taking along with MEPS on the 3rd of march.
My vocabulary isn’t bad and I don’t think I’m stupid by any means. But man, the sample tests are crushing me. They scale in difficulty, and granted I’ve not been in school for like 6 years but some of this math is harder than anything I had to do even in college level geometry and statistics. Algebra has never and I doubt will ever be my strong suit.
Even then, some of the questions have topics that weren’t included in the source material. Been using a mixture of resource websites given to me by my recruiter and also the ASVAB for dummies book.
I swear, some of the most ill mannered and mentally vacant people I’ve ever met have been in the military, and so have the smartest. I don’t think I’m stupid but these questions are very challenging and I’m hoping the idea is to get me over prepared for the actual test.
If anyone has taken the ASVAB, or is just a test enthusiast in general, what advice could you give me? I can’t believe it would actually be this difficult.
Mostly focusing on the reading, math, and general science sections. I’m an electrician by trade so I’m not concerned with electric or shop info, mechanical is a mixed bag and I’m reviewing that as well.
