First service grade from CMP

Received my first CMP Garand today and am quite pleased with what I got. From what I can tell in my initial research is a December of ‘43 receiver with a nearly new ‘54 barrel. Appreciate any additional info you guys might be able to impart while I dig into researching the rifle.
