Mechanic/vehicle inspection for the poor
I (f28) work as an Amazon driver and I’m ungodly poor. I’ve already reached out to CAC to help with my rent but the application takes an average of 65 days to assign a caseworker. In the meantime of waiting and still paying $1,450/month for rent, my VW Jetta 2015 has decided to start flashing an EPC light intermittently. It’s losing coolant and oil like crazy and has now started making a horrible rumbling, rattling noise when idling in drive and accelerating after being in traffic. I change the oil and filter myself at regular intervals as I don’t really have the money to pay for it to be changed so frequently. I use the recommended oil and coolant as well of course. I have a code reader but it doesn’t pull anything when I plug it in while the EPC light turns on. I’ve also taken it to different car parts retail stores and those don’t work either. My question is, does Knoxville have a repair cafes for vehicles or a repair shop that does repairs/diagnosis for low income people? Thanks y’all, ya girl is struggling and scared lol
