If Nepotism is Unfair, Isn’t Beauty Also Unfair?
If we call nepotism unfair because someone is born into connections and privilege, shouldn’t the same logic apply to beauty, especially conventional beauty? Both are things people are born with and give them an advantage over others.
- Nepotism gets actors into rooms and gives them opportunities most people wouldn’t get.
- Conventional beauty gets actresses noticed and cast for roles others might be overlooked for.
In both cases, their advantage isn’t earned, yet they can only survive in the long run if they have actual talent and skills.
So, are these two "unfair advantages" really that different? Or do we just criticize one more because it’s easier to point out?
