worrying about my sonata 2014
i have a sonata 2014 2.4l non gdi its mpi, manufactured in korea , i heard about the theta engine too late 😳 felt like i was living under a rock or smth. so my car is now 125k miles . running smoothly no issues with it , no oil consumption. the only thing i notice the rpm at idle it dropped a little (600rpm) and its vibrating a little but when i accelerate feel no vibration (codes gave nothing) . so after a lot of research i got freaked out that the engine can blow at any given moment!! sonata people with theta engines whatsup 😅 i bought it used from a guy. i bought it because i had a hyundai i20 and it was fabulous as a city car . i wanted a little bit more powerful engine. now i think i got a fd up engine instead. the question is what should i do to avoid the collapse if its at all avoidable !! i need it to run for another year at least . and if the engine blows up , what other engines can fit besides the theta ? obviously no warranty as its second hand
