(11 Day) Post 2,800 Graft Transplant @ Medblue, Istanbul
Hello! Just thought I’d post my very, very early results and my experience at Medblue as I’ve been a lurker on this sub for a WHILE and it’s because of this sub I finally pulled the trigger on getting a transplant.
• Pre-Surgery Quick Backstory: So my story is a bit of a unique one, at least to majority of people that would scroll through here. I’m actually not balding, and none of my family have ever really been exposed to major hair loss, all the way up to relatives that died of old age. My issue was that I actually picked at my hair for around 2 years straight, but picking it to the point where I damaged the roots BADLY to where it never grew back. That was around when I was 11 12ish so 2013/14. I was left with an ultra messed up hairline that never healed. For years and years it was always my biggest insecurity seeing as my literal GRANDDAD had a better hairline than I did. So I found out about this sub, and through around 3 years of researching hair transplants and different doctors, clinics etc both on this sub and outside of it I decided to go with Medblue.
• Consultation: Insanely easy. I messaged the whatsapp number with photos of my hair (the first couple of pics) and Zulal, who runs the whatsapp and basically everything besides the surgical part of things was amazing. Everybody at Medblue speaks English (and really good English at that) so that’s not a worry. I had a 1 on 1 video with Dr. Canberk Turan and again he was excellent. Understood my issues perfectly well. For the record I got the €3900 package deal.
• The Surgery: The surgeons took their time drawing my hairline, making sure they implemented both my opinion and theirs into making what we both wanted. They’re very big on making their hairlines look natural and I got exactly what I wanted and what they wanted. The best thing about Medblue in my opinion is that they strictly do 1 HT A DAY with a team for DHI, and a team for FUE. Dr Turan (who is supervising the entire time) himself did the DHI sections and the FUE team obviously did the FUE sections. 2,800 grafts on my hairline/temples and mid scalp and sixish hours later, we were done!
• Aftercare The way Zulal explains everything is great. She runs you through what you do day-to-day and if you have any questions you can ask her anything, anytime. With the packages you have multiple different outlets to help you with your recovery in the coming 2/3/4 days after surgery (depending on what package you choose) so I had Stem Cell Therapy and 2 Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber sessions.
• Overall Experience Genuinely couldn’t have gone any better. Highly, HIGHLY recommend. Wasn’t a singular moment where I had any doubt throughout my entire trip. Any questions about anything surgical or outside of surgery let me know! I’ll try and respond when I can :) Will be giving updates in the coming months. I found Medblue through this sub and I hope to spread the message of how great they were.
