The lifestream

So I think the multiverse stuff will be chalked up to being different worlds in the Lifestream. My question is, what was the point? What’s the point of Zack being alive in another world or fate being changed in different worlds like at the end of remake when it shows Zack surviving. Honestly idk what my question even is with the lifestream/multiverse stuff but like what are the devs doing for
