DT side projects

What Dream Theater side projects are worth listening to? I tried both Transatlantic and Neal Morse, but found them to be too experimental and not radio friendly. I also tried Liquid Tension Experiment but did like that the songs were all instrumental, and again, really experimental. What DT side projects should I check out that are more straightforward songs?
