How do you win a classic/grand challenge

I’ve been playing this game for ~8 years, and I’ve genuinely never won a classic/grand challenge, how are you supposed to beat this? It’s usually the same pattern: I lose 1/2 games to some meta garbage hard counter like goblin giant, lava loon etc. the first 2 games, then win the next 7-8 in a row, and lose to the same deck I’ve lost to in the first 2. It goes like this for every single challenge I decide to play. Is there some way to beat this without resorting to playing some disgusting stinker of a deck? I know it’s a skill issue to some extent, but I’m not that bad, I really don’t find ladder fun anymore, especially since I’m p2w and pushed to 9k this season with multiple lvl 13. Cards and a 14 level king tower, while getting plowed by maxed out opponents. Is there some deck that you would recommend for me to try and win atleast a single classic challenge, or am I doomed to spending 10 gems for a 500 coin reward?
