brides will you accept wedding dress as a wedding gift?

My sister is getting married. And i am her maid of honor. I am close bonded with the bride and groom. Knowing my sister she is very picky on dresses to the point that she cries if her dress does not suit her taste.

I posted here because i think you're the best people to answer my questions. Will you be happy as a bride if i will be the one to pay your wedding dress? And will you consider it as a wedding gift? My budget is $45k max, will that be enough to buy if not a luxury dress at least a decent one or a customized wedding dress for the bride?
