Lost Media: "Beavis & Butt-Head do Hollywood" (I said "wood" huhuhuh), 1998 PS1 Game
So this game was going to be released for PS1 in 1998 to make some kind of sequel to the Beavis & Butt-Head do America movie I guess. At first it was gonna be named "Beavis & Butt-Head in Hollywood" as shown in some footage, but then it was changed into the one in this posts' title. Its developers were GT Interactive and New Level Software Inc. It got advertised multiple times in the Electronic Gaming Monthly and the Game Informer magazines. In one of the issues of this last magazine there was a listed synopsis of the game: "In the duo's first appearance on the PlayStation, the boys have just finished filming their newest Hollywood movie. Anxious to get back to the couch and watch TV, the two soon realize they have no money (their paychecks have been mailed home). The adventure begins when they submit their labors for hire. What new wacky, crazy, and lazy work details will Beavis & Butt-head encounter?". The EGM magazine first reported for the game to be a 40% complete by the time and that it'd be released on February 1999, but the GI contradicted this by saying it was 80% complete and more likely to be released on November 1998. After multiple contacts with various developers, it was discovered upon contacting one developer from New Level Software Inc. by LMW user Bigdgaming that the game had not received payment for their work from the publisher. This likely serves as the primary reason for the cancellation. The game was reported to be 50% complete when the game reached cancellation, contradicting both EGM and the Game Informer magazines. February 1999 came and went, and the game never got released. No information about the game has since resurfaced then. It sucks. There aren't any builds nor prototypes of the game found either. There's some video footage of this game found in an old random video from 1998 that showed some top, brand new games from those times. This dumbass app won't let me upload it with the images, so I'll show it to you after this post.
