Please remember to tether your dog in the car

I lost my boy Benji this weekend after my husband was in a car wreck coming home from camp. Benji was in the passenger seat, his favorite spot.

He was my best friend for the last 10 years, and lived a life full of adventure. Together, we camped in 20 states, hiked countless miles, and swam in every river or lake we came across.

If just one person can avoid the pain I'm feeling by tethering their dog in the backseat, I'll be happy. I know it was irresponsible to have him up front, but I also know he left this world happy.

Hold your pups close, love them everyday.
