Best 4x4 reliable daily use?

First time car buyer and I know nothing about cars. Looking for something nice that I can rely on and can own for many years.

Will drive aprox 5,000 miles per year.

I like Jeep grand Cherokees but don’t hear good things about owning them. Any advice is appreciated!
